CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Three Golden Eagles hit career milestones as Charleston closed out 2019 with an 89-68 win over the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots. Junior forward, Erykah Russell notched career highs in points and assists, while junior guard, Brooklyn Pannell had a career night for assists. Senior forward, Anna Hayton nailed her 100^th career block.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Fighting Scots came out tough in the first quarter, keeping the Golden Eagles within reach at a score of 10-12 midway through the first quarter, but Charleston began to pull away during the remaining minutes of the period. Charleston capped the first quarter with a 10-point lead off the hand of Dakota Reeves who hit her first shot from behind the arc for the contest.  
 
Charleston held their lead, only letting the score get within single digits once more in the contest.
 
The Golden Eagles shot 51.4 percent in the opening half on 18-of-35 shooting while the Fighting Scots converted 14-of-26 attempts. The Golden Eagles were once again led by Anna Hayton with 26 points, and 8 rebounds, just two shy of her sixth double-double for the season. Russell had a career night with five assists, and a career high 20 points in the win.
