HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles showed their depth as second team All-MEC forward, Ettore Ballestracci came off the bench with 15 minutes to play in the first half, to bang home the first goal of the day. Adam Burchell played the ball across the face of the goal, where it met the foot of Ballestracci.

The Golden Eagles held the 1-0 lead through the conclusion of the first half. After the break it took 13 seconds for Charleston to spread the gap to two goals. It was the pair of Burchell and Ballestracci again who connected for the goal.

The Golden Knight gained some momentum in the second half firing off eight to the Golden Eagles, but Charleston weathered the storm, and iced the game on a goal from midfielder, Chris Allan for the 3-0 score in the 88th minute.

Charleston moves on to their fifth NCAA quarterfinal in six seasons.
