WHEELING, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles downed the No. 10 seed West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats 75-69 in the Mountain East Conference Tournament quarterfinal. The pair of Raziyah Farrington, and Brooklyn Pannell combined for 35 points in the victory.

How it Happened
Brooklyn Pannel finished with a team high 18 points and four assists, with a major second half for the Golden Eagles scoring three-straight buckets to give the Golden Eagles their largest lead of the game with just 6:51 to play.
The Golden Eagles went into the break posting a 10-point lead after a 9-2 run to end the half. After the break, the Bobcats began to chip away at the Golden Eagles lead bringing the score within two points with 6:51 to play in the third.
After scoring just two points in the first half, Brooklyn Pannell went off scoring 16 points in the second. The sophomore went 6-10 from the field with three triples. Pannell scored seven straight points to boost Charleston's lead midway through the third quarter.
The Golden Eagles would hold onto their lead through the remainder of the third quarter to win 75-69.
Senior point guard Gracie Roberts nearly posted a double-double scoring 11 points with eight rebounds. First team All-MEC forward Anna Hayton scored 14 points with four rebounds, and four blocks.
While the Golden Eagles maintained their lead for the second half, the Bobcats were never too far behind cutting the score to 28-24 midway through the second quarter. Charleston shot 46.9 percent in the first half going 15-for-32 from the field.
Senior guard Raziyah Farrington played all 40 minutes for the Golden Eagles going 7-for 17 from the field. She tallied 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
