HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior Brianna Rock gave UC their first goal of the day just 50 seconds into the game, putting the Golden Eagles up 1-0 to start the game. UC continued to push forward offensively, going up 2-0 after sophomore Toriana Bates capitalized on a free position shot. Wise responded a goal, putting the score at 2-1 with 22:34 until the half. The Golden Eagles successfully scored another, using attacker Aryanna Jones, leading over the Cavaliers 3-1. Two more goals from the hosts made the score even between the two sides, until three goals from Emma Renda, Rock and Jones put UC at a 6-3 lead going into the half.
 
The second half of play was a different story as the Cavaliers were able to push past the Charleston defense, scoring 13 goals. The Golden Eagles only saw one goal by Rock in the last thirty minutes of play, ultimately falling 16-7.
