BUCKHANNON, W.Va.—The University of Charleston women's lacrosse team picked up an MEC win on Saturday night, after five goals from attacker Emma Renda led them to a 14-11 victory over the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles started the scoring against the Bobcats on Saturday night, as Rachel Kerwin slipped a pass to Peyton Harris who shot and scored, going up 1-0 with 26:01 left in the first half. Attacker Emma Renda then scored her first of the game, giving UC a 2-0 edge over Wesleyan. Less than two minutes later Charleston was back at it, with a third goal of the day from Brianna Rock. The Golden Eagles weren't able to keep the lead, as the hosts tied the game at 3-3 with 14:32 left until the half.

thgoal of the season, shooting one past the Wesleyan goalkeeper, putting the Golden Eagles up 4-3 with 14:00 left to play in the half. Aryanna Jones, Renda, and Samantha Youngman each gave UC a goal before the half, giving Charleston an 8-6 lead heading into half time.
Freshman Isabelle Pisani helped UC pick up their pace starting the second half, scoring a goal within the first minute of play, putting Charleston up 9-6. Wesleyan then scored two more goals to be within reach of the Golden Eagles, but Renda was able to use her offensive talent to move past the Wesleyan defense, putting Charleston up 10-9. Shortly after, Rock slipped another one in, giving Charleston the 12-9 lead. Renda and Youngman then scored three back to back goals, allowing Charleston a 14-9 lead, and ultimately winning the game 14-11.
