BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston's Sarah Feizal and West Liberty's Howard Peterson IV have earned Mountain East Conference Golfer of the Week honors.
Feizal, a junior from Shah Alam, Malaysia, placed second out of 111 at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic. Feizal shot an 81 in the first round but roared back in the second round as she shot a tournament low of 73 aiding the Golden Eagles to a fourth place finish.
Peterson, a sophomore from Weirton, W.Va., helped guide the West Liberty men to a victory at the Mount Union Invitational. Peterman fired a 1-under-par 71 on Friday and followed that up with a 73 on Saturday to share runner-up honors with fellow sophomore Alex Easthom.
