Queens University applied the pressure early and moved the ball into the offensive attack before Freshman Logan Farrelly drew a foul after colliding with UC's Freyja Murray and Carly Anderson in the penalty box less than two minutes into the contest. After converting the penalty kick, Queens was able to take an early 1-0 lead.

Less than three minutes later, Lulu Phan was able to cut her way past the UC defense to score on a goal that took a deflection past Golden Eagles Goalkeeper Kaylee Hensley. Just seven minutes later, Phan followed up with her second goal of the game off a pass from Karen Juarez that put the Royals ahead 3-0. Phan finished the match with six shots, four of which went on goal.

Charleston finished the contest with just five shots, all of which were placed on net. Madison Hansen was able to put the Golden Eagles on the scoreboard in the 65th minute after McKenna Sullivan was dragged down by the defender in the box, allowing Hansen to execute the penalty kick to cut the Golden Eagle deficit and eventual final score to 3-1.

Next up, the Golden Eagles will return to their new home, the Welch Athletic Complex, as they host Dragons of Tiffin University on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
