CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Charleston continued conference play with a 4-1 road victory over the Davis & Elkins Senators at Nuttall Field. The Golden Eagles were led by the pair of Eduardo Iranzo, and Ettore Ballestracci, each tallying two goals in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles have improved to 4-1 and remain a top the MEC Standings heading into the weekend.
Ettore Ballestracci got the ball rolling for the Golden Eagles, finishing off a cross from freshman midfielder, Plutarchos Alonefti in the fifth minute of play.
Eduardo Iranzo continued to find the net after the previous weekend as he banged a shot off the cross bar in the 18
th minute that would bounce in for the 2-0 Golden Eagle lead. Neither team scored in the remaining 22 minutes of the first half, as the Golden Eagles maintained the 2-0 lead heading into the break.
After the intermission, it was once again Ballestracci who scored in the same fashion as the goal in the first half. The senior finished a cross from Jesus Cabanas at the 51:47 mark for the 3-0 edge. Less than nine minutes later Iranzo scored his second goal fo the game, and third of the 2019 season.
Goalkeeper
Andri Gretarrson was credited with two saves as he earned his third win of the season. The Golden Eagles' defense remained locked in for the full 90 minutes, only allowing the senators to get off seven shots in the contest.
Victor Pires ruined the chance of the Charleston shutout, scoring his first goal of the season in the 63
rd minute of play.
