CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles Men's Basketball team (15-3, 9-3 MEC), saw their ten-game win streak end with a 74-72 loss to the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets (13-4, 8-4 MEC). Senior forward, Devon Robinson notched at double-double in the loss tallying 16 points and 16 boards.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half of the ball game belonged to Charleston, who led the hosts at the half by a score of 41-37. The Golden Eagles took the early lead holding until Glen Abram knocked down a three with 11:42 to play to give the Yellow Jackets the 1 point lead. Over the next 11 minutes the game would see eight lead changes as the Golden Eagles would head into the break with a four-point lead.
In the opening frame, the Golden Eagles held their opponent to 15-37 from the field, and only 4-10 from behind the arc. Charleston went 14-27 for a 51.9 percent mark from the field.
The Yellow Jackets went on a 16-4 run to start the second half gaining a 12-point lead nearing the midway point of the half. The Golden Eagles fought their way back in, gaining the 70-67 lead with 1:18 to play on a three-point play from Lamont McManus.
The game saw two more lead changes in the final minute of play, as a late turnover by the Golden Eagles allowed State to go up 74-72 with four seconds to play.
The Golden Eagles finished the game holding the Yellow Jackets to 26-of-66 from the field (39.4 percent) while forcing nine turnovers. Charleston converted on 44.4 percent of their attempts from the floor (25-of-54).
