Game Day vs Queens

UC Will Be Back at Home This Weekend as They Take on Queens University of Charlotte

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston men's volleyball team will be back at home this weekend as they get set to take on the Royals from Queens University of Charlotte on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:00 p.m. 
 
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a two-loss weekend dropping a game to No. 15 ranked Loyola University Chicago and No. 7 ranked Lewis University. Charleston showed out well on against the Ramblers as they managed to take a set from them, going on to drop the game 3-1 and lost the match against the Flyers 3-0. 
 
Charleston is currently 1-7 overall on the 2020 campaign and is 0-2 in the EIVA. They will look to get back on track against the Royals to gain some momentum heading into next weekend as they will take on George Mason and Tusculum. 
 
Queens University of Charlotte is currently at a 2-4 record on the season and has not played a match in their respective conference yet. They have posted two wins coming from Belmont Abbey College and Lees-McRae College, both of those wins came from a two-game home stand. 
 
UC has squared off against Queens three times in the past. The Golden Eagles have a 3-0 record against the Royals taking each match in three sets, two of the wins were at home and the other win was on the road.
