Charleston, W.Va- Women's volleyball played their second home game this week against the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus and won after a long five set affair.

How it Happened
UC started off strong, dismantling the Battlers and finishing set on a 6-2 run in the final eight points.
The second set was much of the same for the Golden Eagles, who would find themselves at an advantage early. The wrapped up the second set by winning the final six points in a row.
With just a single set needed to finish the game, suddenly the Battlers started to battle back. They would go on to win two close sets by a score of 25-23 and 25-22 respectively.
The decisive fifth set wasn't much of a contest as the Golden Eagles hopped out to an early lead and didn't look back. They game would close with a kill by McKenzie Carpenter and UC would come out victorious by a score of 15-7.
McKenzie Damon lead the Golden Eagles with 17 kills and a .361 attack percentage. The red-hot McKenzie Carpenter lead UC with a .368 attack percentage.
