How it Happened
The Golden Eagles were eager to score early in the match and the offense would be provided by Kate O' Reilly. Just five minutes into the first half, O'Reilly screamed up the left wing after receiving a ball from Kate Eddy. She sent in what looked to be a cross, however, the ball would find the top right corner, just out of the reach of goalkeeper Kyra Grzely. The goal would be the only one for UC in the half.

The second bit of action came from the foot of Laura Vierhout. In the 58th minute Roberta Pomi sent a low cross into the 18-yard box and connected with Rachel Osborne who would dish it off to Vierhout. Vierhout hammered it home past the keeper and sent Charleston into a commanding 2-0 lead.

Kaylee Hensley collected her fifth clean sheet of the year in addition to her five saves on the day.
