Box Score Charleston, W.Va- Charleston Women's Volleyball faced off against conference opponent West Liberty on Friday night in an all-around exciting contest.

How it Happened
The Hilltoppers and Charleston came in tied in their respective divisions for third place.
The first set began with an early run from Charleston. From there the Golden Eagles would control the pace of play and win the set 25-20
The second set was the most exciting of the night. With Charleston down 22-15 the Golden Eagles put together a miraculous 9-2 run to level the score at 24. Unfortunately, after a few points the Hilltoppers would take the set 28-26.
The back-and-forth night continued as the two evenly matched teams battled for momentum. Charleston would edge past West Liberty in the third 25-17.
The Golden Eagles just needed one set to claim victory on Friday night. They would have to battle it out in a decisive fifth set however, as the Hilltoppers dominated the fourth winning 25-22.
The final set was shaping up to be an absolute thriller. With the shortened set, each point was much more meaningful, and the arena could feel the pressure. The back and forth set would showcase long rallies and plenty of excitement. The Golden Eagles eventually took the set to the delight of the home crowd by a score of 15-7.
Jaxin Melby played four sets and collected a season high 16 digs. Sage Bearnson lead UC once again with 20 kills and Ally Fisher the current mountain east defensive player of the week had a .414 hitting percentage.
