Charleston, W.Va- The Golden Eagle Women's Soccer team took faced off against top ranked North Division opponent, Frostburg State. The second round MEC Tournament matchup would mark second Women's soccer would face off against the Bobcats.

How it Happened

The first half would remain scoreless for the entirety of the 45 minutes with UC having a slight shot advantage at 6-4.

Toni Fiocco-Mizer would open up the scoring on the night as she slotted home the first Frostburg goal with 43 minutes left to play.

UC would answer with a goal from All-MEC Honorable Mention Keira Hill. Hill equalized with a header over the goalkeeper just six minutes later from a beautiful pass from Second Team All-MEC selection Jessica Seaton.

The score would remain tied up at one for the rest of the second half. As the game headed into overtime, both teams would look to find just one golden goal to send their team to the MEC Tournament final.

The goal would come off an unfortunate play by UC's Kate Eddy. A dangerous pass came into the UC 18-yard box and as Eddy went to possess the ball she unfortunately sent it directly over goalkeeper Kaylee Hensley's head. The goal would give the Bobcats the 2-1 lead and would send them to the MEC Final against Concord.
