CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Women's Volleyball team dropped their match on Friday evening in three sets, falling to the Senators from Davis & Elkins 25-9, 25-23, 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Beyonce Andrews and
Rachel Phalen led the Golden Eagles offensively, recording six kills each. On the other side of the net, Macie Magallon and Molly Jandris led the charge, nothing 17 and seven kills respectively.
The Golden Eagles struggled finding an offensive rhythm in the first and third sets and ended the night with a .029 hitting percentage as a team compared to the Senators'' .196.
The first game of the match belonged to the Senators throughout, as the visitors took an early 7-0 and never looked back.
In the second set, the Golden Eagles began to find their groove offensively, as they turned a negative hitting percentage in the first set to a .167 percentage in the second. Despite the improvement, Charleston went on to drop the set 25-23.
The third and final set saw the Senators outpower the Golden Eagles 11-9 in kills, while also holding the advantage in attacking errors 4-8.
