BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins' Daniel Cerezo has earned Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Charleston's
Marc Torrado is the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Cerezo, a sophomore from Madrid, Spain, provided three points on a goal and assist in a 3-2 win over Notre Dame on Sunday. The Senators trailed 2-0 in the second half, and Cerezo provided the game-tying assist and then later the game-winning score to complete the rally.
Torrado, a freshman from Valencia, Spain, posted a shutout for the second-straight game as the Golden Eagles defeated West Liberty. Torrado stopped both shots he faced to record the clean sheet.
