Elkins, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Men's Soccer team moved to 4-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over the Senators from Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon. With the game tied at 1-1 early into the second half, Charleston would go on to score a pair of goals to end the offense for the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first half was a slow one on the offensive side for both teams, as through the first 41 minutes of play the game remained scoreless. Charleston got on the board first with just four minutes remaining in the half when
Gabriel Rodriguez found
Alex Townley for the score to put the Golden Eagles ahead 1-0.
Into the second half, the Senators would tie the game at 1-1 when Matteo Ghezzi scored on the upper-right part of the goal past Golden Eagle keeper
Marc Torrado. That would be the end of the offense for the Senators.
In the 70
th minute of the match,
Alexis Ledoux scored for Charleston off the touch from Townley and
Adam Burchell to give Charleston a 2-1 lead, and a goal that would go down as the game-winner.
Just three minutes later,
Christos Charalambous would finish off the offensive effort for Charleston with a goal of his own, increasing the lead to 3-1.
Torrado finished the game in net with a pair of saves while allowing a goal, while Senator keeper Jeremy Coste would make two saves while allowing three goals.
Despite outshooting the Golden Eagles, the Senators would put just three shots on net compared to five for Charleston.
