CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston baseball team won game one of their doubleheader on Saturday against the Oilers from the University of Findlay in walk-off fashion. Trailing 3-2 headed into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Golden Eagles worked some one-out magic as
Colby Johnson walked to open the inning, and stole second base.
Drew Hefner then advanced Johnson to put runners on the corners before the bases were loaded and
James Heavilin brought in two runs on a walk off single through the right side of the infield.

How it Happened
- The Oilers struck first, as leadoff hitter Cole Kwiatkowski homered to lead off the game to put Findlay ahead 1-0.
- The Golden Eagles found themselves in a pickle on the base paths in the early portion of the game, as Charleston either got picked off or caught stealing three times in the first two innings.
- Findlay took a 2-0 lead on an RBI groundout in the third. Charleston answered back in the bottom portion of the inning after Hefner drew a bases loaded walk. Findlay got out of the jam by striking out the next two hitters.
- Charleston evened the score in the fifth after Hefner reached base, bringing home Johnson after a crucial error by Findlay first basemen Cam Farrar
- A sacrifice fly in the top of the 6th put Findlay ahead 3-2.
