Charalambous Earns MEC Offensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston's Christos Charalambous is the Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors, and Concord's Sacha Everard is the Defensive Player of the Week.

Charalambous, a junior from Nicosia, Cyprus, collected five points in Charleston's win over Wheeling last week. He netted a pair of goals and dished out an assist as the Golden Eagles moved to 3-0 on the year.

Everard, a native of Wellsbourne, England, was instrumental in Concord's 1-0 victory over Frostburg State Friday afternoon. He scored his first career goal for the Mountain Lions in the shutout victory over FSU. Additionally, Everard was part of a defensive unit for Concord that limited Frostburg State to three shots on goal for the game.

Everard and CU's defense earned the first shutout for the program since September 11, 2019 at West Liberty.
