CHARLESTON, W. Va. — The University of Charleston Golden Eagles downed the Alderson Broaddus Battlers ——0 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at the Welch Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Twenty minutes into the contest Alejandro Larrayozput the Golden Eagles on the board bringing the score to 1-0 in favor of the hosts. Just before the close of the first half, it was sophomore midfielder, Ploutarchos Alonefti that gave Charleston the 2-0 advantage. 

In the first half the Golden Eagles held a 7-0 advantage in shots. 

Charleston waisted no time increasing their lead as Eduardo Barros put the third goal on the bard in the 46th minute of action. 

Rounding out the scoring for Charleston was Larrayoz with his second goal, assisted by Alex Townley, and Townley himself who gave Charleston the 5-0 victory with his 80th minute addition.

The Golden Eagles will head to Frostburg State on Wednesday September 29 to face the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m.
