LEESBURG, Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles improve to 1-1 after a 1-0 victory over the Shippensburg Raiders at D2 in the DMV. Keira Hill scored late for the Golden Eagles to send them home with the victory.

A scoreless 72 minutes of action put the pressure on both offenses in the waining minutes of the contest, until Laura Vierhout found the foot of senior forward Keira Hill who put the ball passed the Raiders keeper in the 73rd minute to give the Golden Eagles the go-head.
The Golden Eagles held the 15-7 shot advantage, and tallied six corner kicks in the victory.
Kaylee Hensley picked up her first clean sheet of the season, with 90 minutes of action and two saves.
