How it Happened
These two squads came out hot, and the scoreboard reflected. Charleston fired off 14 shots throughout the match with eight of them on goal while the Senators got 12 shots off with 10 of those on net.

In the 14th minute of play, Rachel Osborne opened up the scoring. Mallory Beach found a wide-open Osborne running on the far-side wing and the Scotland native took care of the rest as she buried her shot just behind the left post and into the net to take the 1-0 advantage. This was Osborne's third goal on the year and Beach's first assist of the season.

Shortly after, the Senators would capitalize on a fastbreak and Alexa Karsel would score from short range to knot things up at 1-1.

In the 21st minute, Charleston would take the lead once more as Osborne found an open lane on the near side and played the ball over to Sydney Cavender for the easy tap in for the 2-1 lead.

The Senators found their first lead of the match after two consecutive goals from Madison Rose in just over three minutes.

Cavender scored her second goal of the match just before the halftime break. Kate Eddy put a roller in front of the Senator net and Cavender took the pinball away from defenders to put in a roller of her own into the net to tie the score at 3-3.

In the second half, the two teams would go back-and-forth looking for the advantage, but it was the Golden Eagles who would have the last cheer. With less than three minutes left to play, Kate Eddy found her second assist of the match as she found Katy O'Reilly right in front of the goal past the Senator keeper and O'Reilly put the game to rest with her shot into the net. Charleston would take the next two minutes to play lock-down defense and the Golden Eagles would take the 4-3 victory.
