How it Happened:
A Sunday afternoon match in Maryland would be business as usual for the Golden Eagles. Charleston was looking to improve to 15-1 on the season and keep their spot at the top of the Mountain East Conference.

Charleston took several shots at the beginning of the match, but the Bobcat defense managed to keep the Golden Eagles off the board for the first twenty-six minutes. It was in the twenty-seventh minute that things would change as a Bobcat defender fouled Joao Belmudes in the eighteen-yard box forcing a Golden Eagle penalty. Joao Belmudes stepped up to take the penalty and with one touch of his left foot, Charleston had the 1-0 lead over Frostburg State.

In the thirty-eighth minute the Golden Eagles who were on the counterattack found Joao Gallo Lima down the pitch. From there, Gallo Lima took the ball into the Charleston attacking third and then perfectly placed a pass to Joao Belmudes who placed the ball into the bottom left corner, giving the Golden Eagles their second goal of the afternoon.

At the end of the half, Charleston lead Frostburg State 2-0 with a pair of goals from Joao Belmudes.

In the second half the Bobcats wasted no time and took several shots in the first few minutes, but Charleston kept Frostburg off the board as the score remained 2-0 to the Golden Eagles.

In the fifty-sixth minute Charleston once again found themselves near the goal. Lewis Redding took a shot that did not go it, but the deflection made its way back to Redding to who passed it to Eduardo Barros who put the ball past the Bobcat goalie for the Golden Eagles third goal of the afternoon.

Just three minutes later Eduardo Barros scored his second goal of the afternoon giving Charleston the 4-0 advantage over Frostburg State.

With just three minutes left in the match Charleston was awarded a corner kick. Mattia Vezzoni perfectly crossed a ball into the box for Francisco Anton to head into the top left corner and give the Golden Eagles their fifth and final goal of the afternoon.

Joao Belmudes and Eduardo Barros both with a pair of goals in the match. Francisco Anton scored his second goal of the season and goalie Marc Torrado picks up his seventh clean sheet of the season.
