How it Happened:
After several hours of heavy rain onto the West Family Complex field, the decision had to be made to change venues for the Mountain East Conference matchup between the Golden Eagles and the Hilltoppers of West Liberty. The original 4 o'clock outdoor start would become an 8PM indoor match for the men.

The long-awaited kick off finally rolled around and only five short minutes into the match, the Golden Eagles found themselves down as the Hilltoppers took the early 1-0 lead after a goal by Danilo Tavares.

Following the oppositions' goal, the Golden Eagles took several shots on goal in hopes of leveling the score. The equalizer came in the 18th minute from Santiago Hoyos, assisted by Giorgos Diakos.

Four minutes later, Charleston took the lead after a goal from striker Eduardo Barros, assisted by Tristen Rose. The Golden Eagles maintained possession for the remainder of the half and would head to the locker room with the 2-1 lead over the Hilltoppers's.

Charleston came back out in the second half and once again dominated possession of the ball. The Golden Eagles third goal of the night would come once again from Eduardo Barros, this time assisted by Javier Sanchez.

Three minutes later, Charleston tacked on another goal, this one coming off the foot of Felipe Mercado.

The Golden Eagle offense remained on fire as Charleston would go on to tally their fifth and sixth goals of the match in the seventy-fourth and seventy-eighth-minute marks. Joao Gallo Lima and Mattheo Ledoux were the goal scorers for Charleston.

Charleston tallied a season high six goals in the match and with the win improve to 8-1 in Mountain East Conference play.
