SOUTH EUCLID, O.H. - UC added two road wins to their record this weekend after a conference victory against Notre Dame College (OH).

How It Happened
The Golden Eagles took a 17-11 lead in the first set and this quick lead would be enough for UC to take the first set by a score of 25-19. Charleston used a .455 hitting percentage in the first set to overpower the Falcons. The final point of the set came on a block by
Pia Selke and Reagan McLean.
The second set was closely contested, but Notre Dame College was able to take a 6-4 lead and never look back in the set. The Falcons would go on to win the set with a score of 25-20 to even the match at 1 set apiece.
Mid-way through the third set, the contest was knotted at 11. The Golden Eagles went on a 7-4 run to provide enough cushion to win the set 25-20. The winning point coming on a kill from
Selke. With a .448 hitting percentage, the third set also saw a hitting percentage above .400. The Golden Eagles were able to capitalize on their momentum and take it into the fourth set as they would jump out to a 13-8 lead. UC took the set 25-17 and won the match 3-1.
Offensively, the Golden Eagles were led by
Selke with 21 kills and
Sage Bearnson with 20 kills.
Maria Hernandezdished out 51 assists and defensively,
Erin Carmody led the way with 14 digs.

UC will return home to take on the leader of the South Division in the Wheeling University Cardinals. The match is slated for 7PM on Tuesday at the Innovation Center.
