JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The University of Charleston men's basketball team played their second game on the road Sunday afternoon at Sports Center Gymnasium but fell to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Mountain Cats.

How It Happened
The Mountain Cats jumped out to an early 6-2 lead, until
Eddie Colbert III drilled a pull-up 3PTR 3:59 into the game. The two teams traded baskets early in the half until the Mountain Cats pulled ahead 12-21 with 9:00 left in the first half.
Sophomore Forward
CJ Meredith hit back-to-back 3PTR's with 5:20 to go in the half to get the Golden Eagles within four points, 26-30.
Meredith would hit another layup in the paint before
Tyler Eberhart drilled a 3PTR to give the Golden Eagles the lead 31-30 on their 17-5 run with 4:00 to go in the half. Johnstown would snag the lead by four points taking a 37-33 lead into the halftime break.
In the second half, Pitt at Johnstown would extend its lead to 13 points just under five minutes into the half and the game clock would run for another four minutes before the next score by
Tyler Eberhart in the paint as the Golden Eagles trailed 37-48.
Pitt Johnston would maintain their 10 points lead up to the 7:00 mark where they went on a 12-6 run into the final minute.
Keaton Turner would hit a fastbreak 3PTR with four seconds left on the game clock but that would not help the Golden Eagles as they fell 65-72.
CJ Meredith led the team in scoring with 18 points, while
Tyler Eberhart tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
