Charleston, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles men's basketball team use extensive lead to defeat the Falcons of Notre Dame College by a score of 87-67 on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
Charleston entered Saturday's match 7-2 in Mountain East Conference play, looking to pick up a win over the Falcons and improve to 8-2. After winning the tipoff, the Golden Eagles jumped out of the gate with a four-point lead off two Tyler Eberhart layups. Both teams traded several points, but Charleston began to pull away with the lead after the first media timeout. At about the nine-minute mark, an Eddie Colbert III dunk gave Charleston a thirteen-point lead. The Golden Eagles continued to increase their lead heading into the locker room at the half up by seventeen.
In the second half, there was no turning back for Charleston. The Golden Eagles maintained at least a ten-point lead for the entire half, having as high as a twenty-three-point lead over the Falcons.
Keith Williams led the Charleston offense with twenty points in the match followed by Tyler Eberhart's sixteen, Eddie Colbert III with fourteen, and CJ Meredith with thirteen.
