Elkins, W.Va. – Charleston defeats the Davis & Elkins Senators 1-0 in Saturday's Mountain East Conference match.

How it Happened:
One goal would be the difference maker in Saturday's match between the visiting Charleston Golden Eagles and the home Senators of Davis & Elkins College.
 
The lone goal of the game came in the sixteenth minute when Stafford Dowling pressed the keeper and blocked his clearance, Dowling then cutting the ball back to Joao Belmudes who reversed it into the keepers near post. The Golden Eagles took the 1-0 advantage that would ultimately be the difference maker of the contest.
 
Charleston had nine shots compared to Davis & Elkins one in the first half of the match.
 
The second half was more evenly contested as both teams took six shots, four on goal for the Senators and three for the Golden Eagles. The Senators collected two yellow cards in the second half.
 
With the win, Charleston improves to 11-1 on the season and Davis & Elkins falls to 5-4-2.
