How it Happened
Charleston would fire off 17 shots in the first half alone and would not allow for Salem to get off a single shot. Between the 7th and 8th minute of the match, three goals would come from the Golden Eagles that would be scored by Cassidy Collins and Sophia Mankowski with Mankowski scoring two. Rachel Osborne and Anna Gregor would follow the scores with two more back-to-back in the 12th and 13th minute to take an early 5-0 advantage over Salem.

Mankowski would find her hattrick in the 15th minute, followed by Kaitlyn Gauze's first career goal in the 19thminute for the dominating 7-0 lead. The final goal of the half would come two minutes after from Linsey Hackney who found her first collegiate goal to give Charleston an 8-0 lead going into halftime.

In the second half, Michelle Wenger would check into the game and find a quick goal just five minutes into the half to extend the lead to 9-0 for Charleston. Angela Gatto would come off the defensive line and find her second goal of the year at the 58th minute mark. Anna Van Der Reijden, who just so happened to be the birthday girl, would buy herself a gift in the 66th minute mark and score her first goal of the year on a cross from Lina Jaime to take an 11-0 lead.

Rachel Eichler continued the streak of defensive goals as she would knock in a cross from Rachel Osborne in the 74th minute for the 12-0 lead. The final goal of the match would unfortunately be an own goal for the Tigers that deflected off of a cross from Sophia Mankowski that gave Charleston the 13-0 victory.

Carolin Stahlmann would have her first start for Charleston between the posts and despite only seeing the ball at her feet a handful of times, she would have her first clean-sheet victory for the Golden Eagles.
