Frostburg, Md. – Charleston defeated the Bobcats of Frostburg State 2-1 in an afternoon road match.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles quickly applied the pressure on the Bobcat defense, forcing two early saves from the Frostburg keeper. While still applying pressure Charleston's
Juan Hermoso blasted a ball from outside the eighteen-yard box into the back of the net in the seventh minute. The goal would give the Golden Eagles the early 1-0 advantage over the Bobcats.
The Golden Eagles took several other shots in the half, but as they could not find the goal again, the teams headed to the locker room with Charleston leading 1-0 over Frostburg State.
Entering the second half, Charleston added on to their lead by way of a
Caio Moraes cross that found the head of unmarked
Eduardo Barros who sent the ball past the Bobcat keeper to give the Golden Eagles the 2-0 advantage.
Just over ten minutes later, the Golden Eagles made a costly tackle inside the eighteen, forcing a penalty kick for the Bobcats. Garcia-Torres stepped up to take the shot, and after being forced to retake the penalty, Garcia-Torres cut the Charleston lead in half.
Now leading 2-1, Charleston forced ramped up their attack, forcing the Bobcat keeper to make several more saves. Unfortunately, the Golden Eagles could not convert again in the match but saw the 2-1 victory as the clock wound down to zero.
