How it Happened
In the first half, it would be Juliette Lucas leading the way for the Golden Eagles in rapid fashion. Within 30 seconds of the opening kickoff, Laura Vierhout would find Lucas running towards net and the New Zealand native would deliver the first goal of the match to give Charleston an incredibly early goal.
Lucas would then find another pristine opportunity to score in the 33
rd minute of the match. Anna Van Der Reijden played a beautiful ball from her own defensive line and placed it right on-line with her striker up field. Lucas had one last touch to get around the keeper and sank her shot into the back of the net to give Charleston the 2-0 lead before the halftime break.
The Falcons would find a goal late in the second half on a nice one-timer from Savannah Singh, but the Golden Eagles would run out the clock and add their eighth win of the season to their loss-free record.
