How it Happened

Morrow, from the left side just outside the box, would send her shot just out of the keeper's reach into the bottom left corner to take the 1-0 for the visitors. Six minutes later, Juliette Lucas would add on to the lead with a close-range goal just in front of the net. Teya Baptista would take a nice touch towards the net from the right wing and play a beautiful pass to Lucas. The Golden Eagles would fire off eight shots on goal in the first half and limiting the Cardinals to just three shots all together with two of them saved by Jordan Maynard. The teams would head to the locker room with Charleston leading the way at 2-0.
In the second half, both goals would come from reliable veteran Laura Vierhout, and rather quickly. In the 50

Moving to the 55
th minute, a shot from Juliette Lucas would parry off the keeper, but Vierhout read the play from start to finish and knocked in the rebound to take a dominating 4-0 lead.
