HUNTSVILLE, W.Va.– University of Charleston Men's Cross Country finished in first place at the Alabama University in Huntsville Invitational, while Women's Cross Country finished in sixth place. Both sides competed against 44 teams, six of which were nationally ranked.
In the Men's 8k, freshman George Couttie crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 24:09.3, while sophomore Julie Lafare claimed the eighth place spot in the Women's 5k with a time of 17:47.3.
On Friday, October 13 both teams will travel to Pipestem, West Virginia for the Concord Alumni XC Invitational. This race closes out the regular season, as they will race in the MEC Cross Country Championship the following weekend.
