How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles got things started in the ninth minute of the match when Franco Tradatti on the left wing found sent a pass into the box that was controlled by Jack Kay. In the twenty sixth minute, a Concord handball inside their eighteen-yard box forced a Charleston penalty shot. Jack Kay stepped up to the spot and aimed for the lower right corner, but a diving save by the Concord keeper kept the score at 1-0.

The Golden Eagles managed seventeen shots in the half but could not, in the words of Coach Smee, "get the ball in the big white thing."

As temperatures dropped in the second half, the Golden Eagles began to heat up, scoring their second goal of the evening in the fifty-fifth minute of the match. The goal came when keeper Marc Torrado sent a long ball down field for the speedy Stafford Dowling who controlled the ball near midfield and dribbled around several Mountain Lion defenders before drilling a shot past the keeper into the back of the net.

Eleven minutes later Charleston struck again when Eduardo Barros passed to sent a pass to an open Giorgos Diakos who was just outside the eighteen on the left side of the pitch. With a swift kick, Diakos drove the ball over the Concord Keeper into the top right corner of the net for the third Golden Eagle goal of the evening.

Several minutes later in the seventy second minute of the match, Giorgos Diakos converted on his second goal of the match with an unassisted goal.

The final Charleston goal of the match came in the eighty fourth minute off the foot of substitute Stefano Caille. Caille received a pass from Tomas Muller near the middle of the eighteen, shooting into the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

Charleston picked up another clean sheet for the season and will head into the Mountain East Conference tournament as the #1 seed.
