Glenville, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles pick up a win on their final road match of the regular season. The win helps improve Charleston to 16-5 in Mountain East Conference play.

How it Happened:
Charleston jumped out to an early 8-0 lead over the Pioneers thanks to some good defense and even better shooting. Continuing to capitalize on poor Pioneer shooting, the Golden Eagles extended their lead, jumping out ahead 14-3 with 13:13 on the clock. For the next several minutes the Charleston offense struggled, allowing the Pioneers to capitalize and bring the game back within two at the nine-minute mark. The Golden Eagles answered back with a nine-point to take the 26-17 lead. The next several buckets were traded back and forth, Glenville keeping the game within reach, only trailing by six with about five minutes left to play in the half. The Golden Eagles closed out the half with a ten-point run, taking a 40-24 lead as they headed to the locker room.
The Golden Eagles shot 58.62% from the field compared to the Pioneers 30.30%.
Starting the second half, both teams traded the first few shots until Charleston eventually extended their lead to 20, 48-28. The Golden Eagles maintained their lead for majority of the half and even extended it to 23 at one point in the contest. With just under two minutes remaining in the contest, the Pioneers managed to cut the lead down to fourteen, but with the clock winding down, Glenville State simply ran out of time. The Golden Eagles ended the contest with a three-pointer by
Isaiah Sullivan to defeat the Pioneers by 19, with a final score of 82-63 UC.
The Golden Eagles shot nearly 60% (59.3%) in the contest with 27 of their points coming off the bench.
Tyler Eberhart led the offense with 20 points, making 10-11 shots. Four other Golden Eagles saw double digit points including

Keith Williams (10).
