Indiana, Penn. – The Golden Eagle Men's Golf team finished fourth in the Spadafora Invitational hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Erik Ulvang placed second in the overall leaderboard.

As the season winds down for Men's Golf the guys looked to book improve their ranking in the Atlantic Region with a good performance at Indiana Country Club. The 16-team field was comprised of Atlantic Region contenders hoping to play well on the par 71 course that spans 6,500 + yards from the back tees. Â

Host IUP placed second in their home tournament while Malone University won outright with a combined score of 593.

Charleston in fifth after the first day of play combining for a total score of 304. A 305 on day two saw the Golden Eagles improve one spot into fourth overall and finish at 609.

Erik Ulvang was solid over both rounds, carding back-to-back 73s to finish two-over and take second place in the tournament.
Ulvang was even on the back nine for the tournament.

Pau Sanchez finished the tournament in a tie for sixth. He opened with a 76 on Monday and improved to a 73 on Tuesday.

Charleston will be back in action next weekend as they compete in the DII Atlantic/East Regional qualifier. A top three finish would punch their ticket to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships.
