How it Happened
From the first to the final minute of play, Charleston would have their way throughout this matchup. In total, they would fire off 22 shots with 14 of them on target while the Senators would find just three total shots in 90 minutes of play. With 14 shots on goal, Senators' keeper Alaina Laurence would rack up an impressive nine saves on the afternoon.

Charleston would score on back-to-back goals from incredibly close range after two beautiful long-balls were played directly in front of the goal for easy tap-in shots. Lina Jaime would play the first ball to Angela Gatto who capitalized on her attempt, followed by a great ball in from Frankie Morrow to Laura Vierhout directly in front of the net for the 2-0 lead in just the 6th minute of play.

In the 14th minute, Lina Jaime, already with an assist in the game, would find a goal of her own as she sent a curling rocket of a shot into the top left corner from over 20 yards away on a free kick for the third goal of the match.

11 minutes further into the match, the substitute Sophia Mankowski would rebound a deflected shot from Cassidy Collins off the keeper and find the 4-0 lead with her right foot. She would then find her second of the match seven minutes later. A great pass in from Anna Gregor would find a running Mankowski downfield, who swung all her foot into the sailing shot that found the bottom of the crossbar and bounced its way into the net to take a 5-0 lead into the locker room.

Charleston would hold the 5-0 lead for the remainder of the match, giving Jordan Maynard her first clean sheet of the year and the first conference win for the Golden Eagles.
