Box Score Salem, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles defeated the Salem Tigers 6-0 in a road match on Wednesday afternoon. With the victory, Charleston improves to 3-0 on the season.

How it Happened:
The Charleston offense exploded on Wednesday afternoon when they scored six goals on the Salem Tigers. The Golden Eagles jumped on the board early by way of a
Felipe Delgado goal in the fourth minute.
Eduardo Barros was next to strike for Charleston. The Second goal for the Golden Eagles came when
Caio Moraes passed the ball to
Alejandro Gomez who crossed it into the box, allowing Barros sent it into the back of the net.
Charleston would head into the locker room with the 2-0 advantage over Salem.
Early on in the second half,
Eduardo Barros was fouled inside the box, drawing a penalty. The penalty taker was none other than
Joao Belmudes who has scored a penalty in both of the Golden Eagles previous games this season. The left footed Belmudes gave Charleston the 3-0 lead.
Several minutes later, Salem's Andrea Fincato found himself leaving the game as he was awarded a costly red cardin the fifty-seventh minute of the match.
Eduardo Barros continued his productive afternoon when he tacked on two more goals for Charleston. One came in the seventy-fourth minute unassisted, and the his third goal of the afternoon was just moment later when he sent a
Juan Hermoso assist into the goal.
The sixth and final goal of the afternoon came from
Joseph Gasper assisted by
Stafford Dowling in the eighty-fifth minute.
The victory improves Charleston to 3-0 on the season and is the first clean sheet of 2023.
