How it Happened:
Charleston got on the board early and often in the quarterfinal match against the Wheeling Cardinals. The first goal coming in the seventh minute from Frankie Morrow. Less than a minute later, Lina Jaime found her first goal of the evening after some productive ball movement put the ball at the right foot of Jaime. The goal put Charleston ahead 2-0 over the Cardinals and over 80 minutes left to play in the contest.

In the eighteenth minute, Charleston scored their third goal of the game, this goal coming off the right foot of Frankie Morrow once again. The second Morrow goal of the evening was also assisted by Cassidy Collins.

Just minutes later in the 22nd minute, Lina Jaime found her second goal of the match, giving Charleston a commanding 4-0 lead. The Golden Eagles would take their lead and head into the locker room as neither team scored for the remainder of the half.

The first twenty minutes of the second half were scoreless, but the silence was broken as Lina Jaime found her third goal of the match in the 69th minute.

Charleston scored two more late goals before the clock wound down, one from Kim Smal and the final from Juliette Lucas. The Golden Eagles saw the clock hit zero with a 7-0 victory and a ticket to the MEC Semifinals.
