Golden Eagles Score Three on the Road

Frostburg, Md. - The University of Charleston Golden Eagles travelled to Frostburg State this past Sunday for a Mountain East Conference match up.

The Basics:
Location: Bobcat Stadium
Score: UC 3, FSU 0
Records: UC 16-0-1 (13-0-0 MEC), Frostburg State 9-7-1 (7-6-1 MEC)

How it Happened:
The first half of this contest was a tight one, as Frostburg came out well on their senior night. The Golden Eagles were only able to muster up eight shots in the first 45, with only one working the Bobcats keeper. Konstantinos Parisis donned the gloves for Charleston and also made just one save in the half, with the two sides going in at half time level at 0-0.

The Golden Eagles came out the sharper of the two sides after the restart, and Jack Kay squandered a glorious opportunity to put the visitors ahead after good work by Tomas Muller on the left. That was soon forgotten about however as in the 52nd minute the ball dropped for Isacco Tomelleri at the edge of the Bobcats area, and he expertly curled it into the top right corner, leaving the Frostburg keeper rooted to the spot. Jack Kay had to wait until the 72nd minute to finally get his score after Hugo Prats Deusdad found him, and Kay volleyed it into the net with venom to put the visitors 2-0 to the good. Three minutes from time, Jack Allan got his fourth of the season, heading in a Franco Tradatti corner to seal all three points for the Golden Eagles. 3-0 it finished.
