CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The University of Charleston volleyball team (23-6, 11-2 MEC) continued its impressive season with a straight-set victory (25-13, 25-23, 28-26) over Concord University on Friday afternoon at the Wehrle Innovation Center. The Golden Eagles extended their win streak to 10 games and improved to 23-6 overall and 11-2 in conference play with this victory.

How it Happened:
Senior outside hitter Emma Shepherd led the charge with a team-high 12 kills, hitting .320, while Patrycja Majos added 11 kills and three aces. Middle blocker Pia Selke contributed eight kills and a team-high four service aces, while setter Abby Avila orchestrated the offense with 21 assists.
The Golden Eagles set the tone early, using a balanced attack to cruise to a 25-13 win in the opening set. Shepherd tallied four kills, and Selke's aggressive serving kept Concord on its heels.
The second set was a tighter affair, with both teams trading leads late. Charleston capitalized on key kills from Shepherd and Majos to edge out Concord, 25-23.
The third set saw the Golden Eagles rally from a late deficit to clinch the match 28-26. Selke's clutch serving and Shepherd's timely kills proved crucial in sealing the sweep.
