CHARLESTON, W.Va.- No. 21 University of Charleston Men's Basketball secures their eighteenth win of the season after defeating Frostburg State University (2-20, 2-13 MEC) in dominating fashion, 95-54. With an overall record of 18-3 and a conference record of 13-2, Charleston remains in first place in the MEC Standings.

The Basics:
Location: Charleston, W.Va
Score: 95-54 (UCWV)

How it Happened:
Colbert III put up the first two points on a layup, but the lead was quickly stolen by the Bobcats on a jump shot and a three-pointer. The Golden Eagles did not trail for long though, as a Colbert III dunk and two straight layups by Tyler Eberhart put them in front, 9-5. UC continued to pour it on, eventually rocketing to a 16-7 advantage on baskets by Obinna Ugwuakazi, Dwaine Jones and a shot from downtown by Shunta Wilson. Frostburg slowly chipped away and managed to tighten the score to 23-21, but that was the closest they were able to get to the Golden Eagles. Charleston went on to close out the half leading 48-29 while shooting an impressive .607 (17-28) from the floor, .417 (5-23) from three and .667 (6-9) from the line.

The momentum continued to swing in Charleston's direction following halftime with the Golden Eagles getting on the board first on a seven point run with baskets by Eberhart and Colbert III. UC continued to produce both on offense and defense, garnering the 95-54 victory over the Frostburg State Bobcats. For the Golden Eagles, the second half featured a dunk by Ugwuakazi and treys by Colbert III, Keaton Turner (2), DeAirius Barker and CJ Meredith. Although not as sharp as the first, Charleston still shot a stellar .514 (18-35) from the field, .417 (5-12) from three and .667 (6-9) from the line in the second.

Colbert III led the Golden Eagles with 21 points scored, however juniors Wilson and Ugwuakazi also played a pivotal role in the victory with each tallying 16 points. On the night, Wilson totaled six rebounds, two assists, four blocks and a steal, while Ugwuakzai collected eight rebounds and an assist.
