Men's Soccer Welcomes Corbin Bowers as New Assistant Coach

The University of Charleston Men's Soccer Program is delighted to announce the hiring of Corbin Bowers as their new Assistant Coach. Corbin arrives at UC from Corban University in Oregon, where he was Head Men's Soccer Coach. Prior to CU, Corbin coached at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and his alma mater, Anderson University.

Born in Quito, Ecuador, and originally from Bogota, Colombia, Bowers grew up in South America as a child of Christian missionaries before making his way to the United States to pursue a college degree. He has moved to Charleston with his wife Avory, son Memphis, and dog Hazel.

About his hiring, Corbin said, "I am honored to be joining such an elite soccer program and prestigious university. The University of Charleston aligned perfectly with my goals, ambitions and work ethic. The trust coach Smee showed in me was refreshing and I am certain we are going to continue to build something special here at UC together. I cannot wait to hit the ground running as we pursue more championships."
