Wheeling, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles took the trophy home in the Atlantic/East Region Preview this week. The tournament featured the top teams from the region that will likely appear in the NCAA tournament. Charleston edged off Gannon by two strokes to surpass them and take home first place.

How it Happened:
The Golden Eagles came out of the first round with 297 strokes, 6 strokes behind the leading team Gannon. After a hard fought second 18in some tough conditions and an impressive finish from Erik Ulväng with birdie, birdie, par, the Golden Eagles managed to overtake Gannon with two strokes and secured their 5^th victory of the season.
 
Pau Sanchez finished in a strong 5^th place out of a total of 130 players with round scores of 74, 73.
