West Chester, Pa. – Charleston's season came to a close after falling in an extra inning game to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks 2-1.

How it Happened:
After a day delay due to weather, the Golden Eagles and the Crimson Hawks were ready to faceoff for the second time in the Atlantic Regional. The game was off to a quick start, with neither team crossing the plate for the first several innings of the game. In the top of the fourth, IUP plated the first run of the game. A fielding error allowed a one out base runner to reach and a single to follow put runners on first and second for the Crimson Hawks. After a fly out to the advanced a runner to third, a two out single through the right side scored the first run giving IUP a 1-0 advantage.
Charleston responded in the top of the fifth with a leadoff home run by Damian Witty. The Golden Eagles could not find another run in the inning, the game tied at 1-1.
The next four innings were a pitcher's duel with only three hits allowed between both teams for through the ninth inning, forcing extra innings. Charleston entered in Dwayne Sumler in the top of the tenth and he quickly got two outs. The third IUP batter to step to the plate in the inning send a ball over the left field wall, giving the Crimson Hawks a 2-1 lead in the tenth. In the bottom half of the inning, Drew Klaserner reached on catcher's interference, but the Golden Eagles could not advance the runner home, falling to the Crimson Hawks 2-1 in an extra inning contest and ending the Golden Eagles season.
