How it Happened:
The visiting Bobcats got on the board first in the Wednesday evening matchup at the Welch Athletic Complex, scoring their first goal in the third minute to take the early lead. The Golden Eagles responded moments later with a goal from Lina Jaime. A ball found rattling around in the box eventually found Frankie Morrow who sent a pass towards the six-yard box where Lina Jaime with a full body effort found the back of the net to equalize the match.

After the half, Charleston quickly riffled off several shots but could not break the tie in the first ten minutes of the second half. The Golden Eagles finally broke the stalemate after a foul was committed by the Bobcats just outside their eighteen-yard box. Lina Jaime stepped up to take the free kick and sent a shot over the goalie and into the back of the net for a 2-1 Charleston lead.

Later in the half, with just four minutes left to play in the match, Juliette Lucas found her fourth goal of the season after a slip pass from Ciara Casamento found Lina Jaime who passed to Lucas to finish the play and find the back of the net for a 3-1 Charleston lead.

Despite the two-goal deficit and the clock winding down, the Bobcats were not done yet. Wesleyan tacked on their second goal of the evening in the 89th minute after a Charleston foul was committed just outside the box. The goal brought the Bobcats within one, but the clock wound down and the Golden Eagles collected their second win in the Mountain East Conference.
