Charleston, W.Va. –Charleston uses explosive second half offense to defeat Glenville State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Records: UC 3-2-0 (3-0 -0 MEC), Glenville State 3-2-0 (1-2-0 MEC)
 
How it Happened:
Glenville State got on the board first in the Sunday afternoon contest. The visiting Pioneers scored their lone goal of the afternoon in the sixth minute of the match from Marcelle Stoller. The Pioneers would hold onto their 1-0 lead into halftime despite Charleston outshooting Glenville 6 shots to one.
 
The Golden Eagles finally got on the board on the 63
rd minute with a goal from 
Juliette Lucas assisted my 
Anna Gregor. The second goal for Charleston came nine minutes later in the 71
st minute from 
Michelle Wenger. 
Wenger received a pass from 
Frankie Morrow and took a shot from the left wing that snuck by the diving goalie into the lower right corner.
 
Just two minutes later the Golden Eagles were awarded a corner kick where 
Frankie Morrow stepped up to the corner flag. The delivery from 
Morrow found the head of 
Anna Van Der Reijden near the back post who headed it in for her first goal of the season.
 
The 3-1 lead would hold for the remainder of the match, Charleston picking up their third victory in Mountain East Conference play.
