How It Happened
The Golden Eagles wasted no time asserting control. Within the first seven minutes, UC had already fired off three shots, including one that rattled the crossbar from Li-Lou Debaecker. Charleston maintained relentless pressure through the opening half hour, with Sydney Crowe creating multiple chances but narrowly missing the target. In the 32nd minute, UC finally broke through. Debaecker showcased slick footwork in the box and slotted home the opener. Just six minutes later, after a fresh wave of substitutions, freshman Mya Mills made a triumphant return from injury by scoring her second collegiate goal off a perfectly placed assist from Maya Pooler. The Golden Eagles entered halftime up 2-0.

Charleston elevated its play in the second half. Less than 10 minutes in, Linsey Hackney netted her first goal of the season, capitalizing on a rebound off the post. UC never looked back from there. Anae Buehlmann added a goal with a header, and Debaecker tallied her second and third goals, one off a pinpoint assist from Zailee Roberts, the other a stunning chip from outside the box, completing a well-earned hat-trick. Isabella Cinco and Emilia Dís Óskarsdóttir each recorded their first goals of the season to cap off a commanding 8-0 victory for the Golden Eagles.

Debaecker led the way with three goals and one assist, powering UC to its fourth win in conference play.
