How It Happened
After a tough loss a few days earlier, Charleston was eager to bounce back, and they did so in spectacular fashion against a struggling Salem squad.

From the opening whistle, the Golden Eagles applied relentless pressure, pinning the Tigers deep in their own half. The breakthrough came just 11 minutes in, when Li-Lou Debaecker opened the scoring off an assist from Sydney Crowe. Just nine minutes later, Crowe capitalized on a defensive giveaway to net her first goal of the season, doubling UC's lead. The duo continued to shine, with Debaecker and Crowe each adding another goal before the 25-minute mark to make it 4-0. Jamie Bland, making her return from injury, added to the tally in the 29th minute thanks to a second assist from Zailee Roberts, who was a constant threat down the left flank. Bland scored again just five minutes later, and Anna Gregor made it 7-0 before halftime, finishing off a clever assist from Demari Curry.

Salem showed some resilience to start the second half, holding UC scoreless for the first 25 minutes. But the depth of Charleston's bench soon came into play. Linsey Hackney scored her second goal of the season off a well-placed cross from Bella Cinco. Freshman Zana Jo Anderson made an immediate impact in her first appearance of the season, scoring in the 71st and 80th minutes. The final goal of the night came from Demari Curry, who finished off a great team play featuring a cross from Cinco and a one-touch assist from freshman Grace Bowman.

Charleston's dominance was complete, finishing the match with an 11-0 shutout. Crowe, Debaecker, Bland, and Anderson all recorded two goals apiece in the Golden Eagles' most lopsided win of the season.
