Frostburg, Md. – Charleston defeated the Frostburg State Bobcats on the road to get back in the win column.

How it Happened:
The game started with a fast-paced rhythm, as both teams exchanged early shots. Charleston quickly gained momentum, with Matthew Shelton opening the scoring with a three-pointer assisted by Ja'Corey Lipkins. Frostburg State responded with a pair of free throws, cutting the lead to 3-2.
The first half was filled with fast breaks and quick transitions. Zach Loveday put on a show for Charleston, slamming in two dunks at 18:24 and 17:37, extending their lead to 8-4. Despite Frostburg State trying to keep things close with a fastbreak layup, Charleston continued to push the pace, with Ja'Corey Lipkins hitting a three-pointer to make it 11-4. Frostburg State fought back with strong outside shooting. The Bobcats made a pair of key three-pointers to keep the game within reach. By the time the clock hit the 9:59 mark, with a timeout called, the game was tied at 22 all, after a layup and a tip-in by Frostburg.
Charleston regained the lead late in the half, as Shelton drained another three-pointer at the 37-second mark, putting his team up 39-34. The Bobcats had one last chance to tie it with a three-pointer, but missed, and the half ended with Charleston leading by 5, 39-34.
Charleston got off to a hot start in the second half, going on a 20-5 run and taking a 20-point lead over the Bobcats with 16 minutes left to play in the half. The Bobcats tried to get back into the contest, cutting the deficit down to ten-points, but with just two minutes left in the half, Frostburg was forced to foul Charleston and the Golden Eagles eventually sealed the deal with an 84-68 victory.
Zach Loveday scored a career high 23 points in the contest paired with eight boards. Dwaine Jones picked up a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists in the victory.
